Gone

“Time washes away all traces of what had been” – Starvation Heights by Gregg Olsen

I’m at that age when family and friends are dying much too frequently.

Lost another good friend last week. At 68, a too young friend.

Parked her car, got out, died. Just like that. That quick.

Nothing I experienced earlier in life prepared me for this stage.

“The tragedy of life is in what dies inside a man while he lives – the death of genuine feeling the death of inspired response the awareness that makes it possible to feel the pain or the glory of other men in yourself.” – Norman Cousins
