The Boss?

“People can change, but they cannot change their essential natures.” – Hurt Machine by Reed Farrel Coleman

What to do. What to do.

Ever had a boss you liked personally who had no business being a boss?

Who had no clue, not even a microscopic hint, of how to address problems with another.

You could hit them square in the face with a bat of common sense and it wouldn’t even register.

They just don’t know. And never will.

Worse. Their disability is dangerous to your sense of wellbeing, accomplishment and even joy of life.

A review of work related problems with them is like stepping on a rake and having the handle strike you, with force, in the face.

If you’re me, you react in kind. In their face. Take this job and shove it you dumb son of a bitch.

Now what. An hour later, while you’re still worked up and blood is pounding your nerve center like a hammer, you begin to question, just a little, your reaction.

Why did I do that? It didn’t accomplish a thing. Well……..it felt good at the time. He is an idiot. But a nice guy. Rather likable. But dumb. Damn.

What to do? What to do?

  2. You could use drugs like those folks who are always telling you nothing ever bothers them and they just choose to never worry about anything. Or be real like you were. You’re my friend. I have your back.
