The “Candy”

“He’s just like any other man, only more so.” Humphrey Bogart line from Casablanca

One of my favorite people who has walked the planet during my lifetime was John Candy. One of Canada’s greatest contributions to mankind.

He was born in Ontario, Canada 10/31/1950 and died in Durango, Mexico 3/4/1994 at the age of 43 from a heart attack.

I still miss him. Guess I always  will.

Recently, Canada named their Canadian Screen Awards the “Candy”. Good move.

The word of the day captures one aspect of his persona.

He was a towser and so much more.

Towser – A big, hearty person, especially one who is very energetic.
