Thoughts – Mood – Consequences

“He that best understands the world least likes it: – “American Heritage History of the Pioneer Spirit” by Richard M. Ketchum

Tough times in the oil patch. Spirits rise and fall with the price of oil.

Rigs laying down. Rumors flying.

A pall hangs over everybody with a stake in the Eagleford.

For all the workers and businesses involved with and dependent upon oil, a slow slide into an unknown, uncertain future.

So many people. So many friends. Gone.

Oil field workers. Men and women. Young and old.

We are so lucky to still be working. But for how long?

What will we do if our rig is closed and stored? What will we do?

Hard to keep a stiff upper lip with the very real possibility of lost paychecks.

Thank you Saudi Arabia. Friends of the good old U.S.A.
