“For some reason, the truth had become increasingly important to me the closer I got to the grave.” – “The Hollow Girl” by Reed Farrel Coleman
For whatever reason, I’m driven to analyze my thoughts regarding life, the amusing anecdotes that swirl around a marriage, and the adventures of a few of my interesting friends.
This blog is motivated by the challenge of organizing those thoughts into a coherent narrative. One that I believe is concise, honest, and rewarding.
Now, in its fourth year, the style and substance of it has evolved to its current incarnation. I almost believe I know what I’m doing.
Most of the time I just manage not to fail. Every now and then I get it right.
I try to avoid politics and religion. Even oblique observations of them. Sometimes I slip. But not very often.
It is imperative that I like the blog. It is also important to me that you like the blog.
If you are reading this, I assume that you do.
My Death or declining health or your lack of interest will end this little endeavor.
“That’s the thing about a place where feelings aren’t given room to breathe. The vacuum pulls in everything else.” – “The Redeemers” by Ace Atkins
