World Cup

“I fell in love with Soccer as I would later fall in love with women: suddenly, uncritically, giving no thought to the pain it would bring.” ~ Nick Hornby

 WORLD CUP

Wow. What a fantastic World Cup. Germany won and deservedly so, but Argentina could have won. Both teams played a fantastic game and it’s a shame one of them had to lose.

I’ve watched the last 4 world cups but this was the best. No question. Drama-some controversy-beautiful athleticism-wonderful human interest stories.

It was fitting and just that it came down to Germany and Argentina. The two best teams in the world. And talk about class acts. Those teams, those athletes just oozed class.

And the fans. Wow. All devoted and passionate. Just as it should be.

Only my actual presence at the games could have improved the experience for me.

“Football is a simple game: 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win.” – Gary Lineker

  1. Admiring the time and effort you put into your site and detailed information you
provide. It’s awesome to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same old rehashed
material. Excellent read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
