“Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.” – Mark Twain
I’ve always loved to read. Can’t remember a time when I didn’t. Maybe in the womb. Would have been difficult to read during incubation.
But………………..I’m sure I read the doctor’s name tag at the moment of birth.
I would rather read than eat. Than watch Texas football. Than listen to Frank Sinatra, Sarah Brightman or Pavarotti. Than have sex. (Well…..at my age that’s not really an option)
All of my life, reading involved gripping pages of paper in my hands and physically turning each of them. So it is that I came late to the world of electronically transmitted books.
I was reluctant to give up my world of words on paper.
Recently I caved. Gave in. Gave up. Bought a Kindle.
4 days into the adventure and I’m wondering why I waited so long.
You can teach an old dog new tricks.
“Do you ever wonder why you gave me your email address?”
So Bob….what took you so long? Of course electronic sex can’t be too far away…..

Mark…..I have the paperwhite model. I only read with it so that model suffices for me. And yes, the space savings are wonderful.

I have had the Kindle since its inception and currently own a “Fire”. I love books, but just the space saving makes the Kindle worthwhile. I fail to see the need for the HD model-mybe someone can comment on that?
