“If you don’t read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed.” – Mark Twain
Did you hear about that mass murder yesterday?
No, I did not.
You’re kidding – it’s been all over the news.
I don’t watch the news.
Serious? How can you not? Don’t you want to be informed? Know what’s going on?
Not really.
You have to know what’s going on in the world. Come on man.
Why? Why do I have to know what’s going on?
Well…………..you just do.
Really? Like I can do something about all the misery human beings inflict on each other! And being informed has improved your life how?
I’m informed. I know things.
You think I don’t possess a valid understanding of human nature? I assure you I do. I’ve lived long enough and seen enough evidence of mankind’s brutality to appreciate the nature of the beast. I just choose to not be reminded of it every day by people I don’t trust.
Odd!
What’s odd is that you, and millions like you, choose to believe what biased and equally uninformed people tell you.
“The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”
Right on the mark! A young Texas boy once said: “is this any of his bidness (sic)?” And the so-called news is really none of my bidness. (Sic). Sometimes my curious nature takes over and I will reluctantly watch some of it, however most of the time you’ve convinced me it’s not worth watching.
Now what I really need to know, is who is that little imaginary friend who keeps asking all those dumbass questions? Haha
