Brain Pump

“You have no way to know until you get to the end, what the end is going to be.

“When you get to the end, then you decide. But you have to get to the end. You have to know how it will turn out.”  From “Back Story” by Robert B. Parker

So in this movie I’m watching Meryl Streep gets her stomach pumped.

Why? To remove a dangerous substance, a substance that, if not removed, would kill her.

That got me thinking. Maybe what we all need is a BRAIN PUMP.

Why a brain pump? Because something in there is slowly killing us.

That something could be what passes for entertainment on American TV.

If one minute of viewing that mindless, brain numbing drivel is allowed to accumulate in our brains, imagine the residual effect long term.

What we need is a system and/or a device that would cleanse our brains as required. We could simply flush away all the sit-coms, commercials, news, and political commentary our brains had been subjected to for that period.

We could be whole again. At least for a while.

We have some thing now. It’s called books. Many folks think they are just to put on your coffee table to impress others. Some put them on shelves to fill the spaces. Those who understand the wonder of the written word pass these books on to others. That way some of us are able to smile at the insane conversations we hear all the time. Keep smiling Bob ,we know the truth.

  2. Good idea! I have often said I wish I could clear my brain of all the useless stuff like we can do with computers. I might be able to remember useful info.
