“Standing ovations have become far too commonplace. What we need are ovations where the audience members all punch and kick one another.” – George Carlin
I detest arrogance. Arrogant people are overbearing, supercilious, condescending and damned irritating. They are not to be trusted, tolerated, or accepted. They are to be avoided at all costs, as they will surely fail and take many with them. They never die alone.
It gives me great joy when arrogant people fail. Sort of like there is a God after all.
99.9% of the people who come through our gate are salt of the earth. However, that .1% is always there, lurking in the background.
Ours did. And, halleluiah, he got his.
This guy has been through here at least once a week and always with an attitude. Like he was doing us a big favor showing up.
Yesterday, as I was logging him in, an elderly lady in a pickup stops behind him; opens her door and approaches us. She tells this guy in no uncertain terms that he had better slow down on these country roads because there are families around here. Man was she mad.
After she left he said he almost got out and “kicked her ass.” Can you imagine the arrogance of this jerk? I could not believe my ears. I told him he would be in jail right now if he had. On to the rig he went.
This is where it gets really good.
5 minutes later, the landowner arrives.
That lady was his wife and he was upset. He wants to discuss this guy with the co man. Go with my blessings sir.
5 minutes later, out comes the bad guy. He’s mad but he is out of here. Banned for life.
There is a God after all.

I’m thinking most people are. It is hard to deal with, isn’t it. So glad you agree with me.

It would have been even better it the land owner in addition to getting him banned for life would have beat the crap out of him.
