Heading South

“Never kick a cow chip on a hot day.”Will Rogers

Finished with all the STUFF we had to get done here in North Texas. Suffered with and through the freezing temps and – dare I say it – SNOW.

Now, finally, we are getting the hell out  of Dodge.

A caveat – the region is sending us off with a special tribute – freezing rain/fog.

Sheeeeez.

Expect  to be on our gate  in Karnes County by  noon Saturday.

We went right by you yesterday. Stayed in Waco last night and are back on the ranch as of 230 this afternoon. Nice to be back to “warmer” weather. 22 when we left Kansas and that was the warmest all week!

Our trip yesterday was not good. Blew a tire — sat on the side of the road and waited for help – 5 hours later we limped into a park. Will be 3 days late getting back to the gate.

It’s cold in San Antonio too. 28 tonight, 24 tomorrow night. Daytime highs in the 50s. Very chilly and windy.
